This movement, which has grown year after year, has spurred a parallel trend: the rise of mocktails, allowing you to indulge in the ritual of drinking without actually having a sip of alcohol. And not so surprisingly, TikTok creators, chefs, and influencers love to share their own recipes. These are some of our favorite viral mocktails for Dry January this year, and there's only rule: Serve it in the cutest coupe glass you own. People Are Trying Damp January as a Moderate Alternative to Dry January The Sleepy Girl Mocktail Sleepy girl mocktails are nothing new, but their staying power says something about the effectiveness (aka their ability to really knock you out for the night). To make a sleepy girl mocktail, fill your glass 1/3 of the way with your favorite sparkling soda or water, as long as it isn’t caffeinated. Social media users seem to love Olipop, but feel free to pick whatever kind you know you like. Fill your glass the rest of the way with tart cherry juice and a scoop of magnesium powder. Mix until the powder dissolves, and enjoy a restful sleep. TikTok’s Sleepy Girl Mocktail May Be the Perfect Pre-Bedtime Drink Spicy Grapefruit Paloma The creator of this delicious concoction, @mstreeet on TikTok, starts by rimming her glass with a mixture of margarita salt and tajín. To level up the spiciness factor, she adds jalapeño slices (set the seeds off to the side if you want to tone it down a bit) and a teaspoon of agave before squeezing the juice of a full lime and muddling it all together. Next, she pours in 4 ounces of freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice, some ice, and lime Topo Chico. Finally, she tops it off with a blistered grapefruit slice and extra tajín. Lemon Ginger Mocktail Spritz This light and refreshing drink, made by @join_jules on TikTok, might take you an extra minute to prepare, but you get the flavor payoff in every sip. Start by chopping ginger into cubes, blending it with a little water, and straining it. Add 1/2 ounce of honey, 3/4 of the ginger juice you just made, and 1 ounce of fresh lemon juice to your glass. Toss in some ice and finish it off with sparkling water of your choice. Functional Mocktails Are Trending—Here's Why You Should Start Sipping The Easiest Mocktail Around While some mocktails might as well take a village to prep, this tangy beverage is quick and easy. Created by @savannaejimenez, juice half a lime into your glass, massage some mint (to help release its flavor) and add it in before topping everything off with ice and strawberry lemon Poppi probiotic soda. Garnish with a slice of lime for the aesthetic. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
