If you opt to start from scratch, you’ll need 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 ⁄ 4 teaspoon of salt, 1 beaten egg, 1 cup of milk, and 2 tablespoons of cooking oil. And you can’t forget the most important part: the toppings. Top the cubes with your chosen toppings and toss them into the freezer to sit overnight (at the least). The next morning, preheat your pancake griddle to medium-low heat and toss on a slab of butter.
